Micro project 3 part 2

I feel that my past is darker than most people's.  I have a lot of skeletons in my closet I guess you could say. That is why I chose this picture as a background, it comes from the darkness.  It comes from my favorite game, and basically the people living there were turned to ash in the blink of an eye, and now are fixated in the same pose when they died.  Even though this travesty happened in the games universe, the people keep moving forward.  I guess what I was trying to go for was even though what happened there was bad, like things that happen to everyone, you gotta keep moving forward.  Everyone makes mistakes, some larger than others, and it can haunt you for the rest of your life.  But you need to know that it's history, and even though you cannot changed what happened, you can grow and learn from it.  That is what I'm about, moving forward, and I like to think this is symbolized with the dawn rising in the background.  I added a few things, such as a broken can of diet coke, a broken iPod, a flexpen, the crimson omen (from the game), and a cross necklace.  Now, I feel that this picture sums me up fairly well, but it looks like I would be emo.  This is not the case.  If someone were to see me, and see this, they would not believe I made this.  I don't think it would let the viewer know that I am social and outgoing, and generally, fairly happy with who I am now.  But it does tell the viewer what got me through rough times; to keep moving forward.

Mp 3 things i bring to class

Picutre #1: My Pea Coat:  I bring my coat to class every day because it is fairly cold outside.  It is also a gift my father gave to me when I was younger, and have worn it ever since.
2 words: "homey warmth"

Picture #2: My Sperry's:  I bought Sperry's with my big brother at the beginning of the school year because he said I do not look "fratty" enough.  Wasn't exactly sure if I should take that as a compliment or an insult.  Either way, jokes on him because I use them pretty much every day.
2 words: "sock-less shoes"

Picture #3:  My Backpack:  I bring my backpack to every one of my classes exactly like everyone else that goes to school.  It is a very useful tool with carrying anything I might need, including my books and laptop.
2 words: "Life savor"

Picture #4:  My phone: A cell phone is a very useful object.  You can communicate with people from all over the world with it, and being from Minnesota, it's great that I can still talk with anyone from back home at any time I would like or need to.
2 words: "Bridging gaps"

Picture #5:  Diet Coke:  I usually, but not always bring some form of drink to classes, usually diet coke.  Being a diabetic, I really shouldn't drink regular soda or other beverages with carbohydrates in them since they will drive my blood sugar up.  So now, when I drink soda, I have diet.  Anyway, it can be helpful if I get  thirsty during class.
2 words:  "thirst quencher"

Picture #6:  Gears of War belt buckle:  One of my favorite games is Gears of War.  I like to think I'm pretty good at it, but since I like it so much when I saw this belt buckle for sale I bought it.  I have worn it to class just about every day since I bought it, and I think it's pretty cool.
2 words: "badass buckle"

Picture #7:  Insulin:  I bring my insulin almost everywhere I go, since I need it to eat food with carbohydrates.  It is important that I keep it on me, because if my blood sugar goes too high for an extended amount of time, it can cause serious damage to my body.
2 words: "life support:

Picture #8:  My cross: I wear my cross around my neck every day.  Not only does it look cool, but it also reflects what I personally believe in.
2 words: "Higher power"

Picture #9:  Chewing gum:  I bring gum with me literally everywhere I go.  I am a surprisingly self-conscious person, and am concerned about how my hair looks, how I and my breath smell, etc.  I bring it so I don't have to worry as much.
2 words: "cleaned up"

Picture #10:  My iPod:  I bring my iPod with me everywhere I go as well.  I feel that it makes the walk a little quicker and better if I listen to music.  I love music in general; I'll listen to pretty much anything.  I also hope to become somewhat of a DJ with my friends.  I have already began mashing songs together with some programs I have.  My iPod allows me to listen to all sorts of music, and listen for songs that I could mash up on my laptop.  Not only can it do all of this, but it can help me with my mood.  If I'm sad and want to listen to a sad song, I can do that with my iPod.  If I want to play a song to pump me up before a match, I can listen to my iPod.  If I am mad, and need to vent, I can listen to metal songs I have on my iPod.
2 words "mini me"

Blog 6

While reading the article Miller and Cardiff, I really enjoyed learning about the pieces they made with sound, and others such as the Dark Pool.  While reading this, I was very interested to see what the Dark Pool looked like, so I googled it.  It wasn't exactly how I pictured it, I pictured more of an infinity room, a room where all of the walls are painted white, there is no source of outside light, and there is fluorescent lighting in the room to give the concept of infinity, with furniture in it.  I still thought the piece was interesting, but thinking of the infinity room gave me an idea.  I googled it, and saw one wonderful room.  It was entirely of mirrors, and had led lights, and glowing ball like structures hanging from the ceiling.  There was no outside light, but it gave the concept that you are floating in the universe, gazing over the billions of stars.  I then thought to myself that I needed to make this room when I have a place of my own.  I then thought about the article, and wondered what would happen if I added subtle music to this room, consistently playing.  Maybe chimes, a smooth but quiet bass-line, whispers of people with giggling, or even a choir singing a soft song.  This article really inspired me to make this room.
I actually didn't read anything I disliked in this article.  I guess if I had to choose though, it would probably be the part about what they had to do for money in the beginning since they weren't very successful.

Map photoshop

When I attend class, I usually just walk from my dorm.  It's about a fifteen minute walk, but the class is in the stadium, and I do live on 10th avenue.  The fact that the class is in the stadium made my first day very interesting.  I wasn't exactly sure where the class was in the stadium.  I didn't even know the stadium had classrooms in it.  My first class on Wednesday is macroeconomics at 9:10 am.  After this class, i decided to walk over to the stadium in an attempt to find this class.  It took me a while, I found the door on the east side of the stadium pretty quickly, but the inside turned into a labyrinth of hallways and classrooms.  Around 10 minutes after entering the stadium, I found the class, and returned home to kill an hour before coming back.
On my way to class, I like to look around at the scenery campus has to offer while listening to my iPod.  Most of the things i tend to look at are in the picture above.  My dorm is the residence on tenth, and as I walk out the doors, I look back at all of the windows on the north side of the building.  I'm not exactly sure why, I just think that they are cool.  The next thing I walk by is Mirror Lake.  This is where I like to look at the scenery, whether it's the seasonal lights, the lake itself, the people sitting around the lake, or the Mirror Lake ducks.  This explains my next picture.  One of the inhabitants of Mirror Lake is a duck, who also happens to have an afro.  Personally, I think this is hilarious and every time I see this duck it makes my day that much better.     After Mirror Lake, I walk by Thompson Library.  It is usually pretty crowded at this time of day, and I usually just try to trudge through.  Finally I get to the stadium, and get to the class.
Most people would wonder how this is a map, but for the path I explained it's pretty cool.  It follows an "O,"  starting with my dorm and finishing up at the stadium.  I chose to make the map follow the state of Ohio.  I am from Minnesota, and thus it is the final point of a map when I'm coming back to school.  I chose to put the block O as a map for my map, which to follow, and Brutus in the center just because I thought it would look cool, and he is mostly seen in the stadium.
